A Spot of Ice Cream--Blakes

[Rachel Notting]

^{From the lake Rachel had walked to the main road and managed to hail a cab to the mall. She arrived at the noisy Blake's and ordered some chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. Her eyes flitted from table to table in search of Alaina, apparently she hadn't arrived yet. She took a seat near a glass window so she could watch as busy shoppers passed by. Soon she slipped in to her own little world and she ate her ice cream almost like a robot.}

[Alaina Prudence]

Alaina pulled into the parking lot, and sat there for a second. She thought about how much of a dork she would look like going into the mall in a dress splattered in mud. But at this point, Alaina didn't care what others thought; at least she had the body to pull it off. Now if I was fat... she began to think, but then qucikly shook her head. That would never happen.

She got out of her car and casually strolled to the Blake's enterance, where she spotted Elle sitting alone, with wide eyes, staring at.. nothing. Alaina raised her eyebrow, then stood outside the window for a minute. Once she got her attention, Alaina smiled and headed for the door, but missed and walked right into it.

She laughed, walked over to Elle, and sat with her.

^{Elle snapped out of her fantasy world and saw Alaina standing in the window. She laughed when Alaina walked straight in to the door, so hard in fact that she choked on her own spit. ((I've done that before...)) Once her coughing spell came to an end she smiled at Alaina. "Sorry, I'm good now." Elle was a quick eater and had already finished her ice cream, all that was left was the bowl and spoon.}

Alaina smirked a little. "Ha. Funny." she said sarcastically. She yawned, then looked blankly at Elle's empty ice cream bowl.

"You know.. I'm not really that hungry anyways.." then she remebered a topic of discussion at school on Friday about a big group of people going to the movies tonight. "Actually.." she continued, "I'm kind of in the mood for a movie." she told Elle, not mentioning the big group of people. Alaina was a very social person. A sly, social person.

^{Elle raised an eyebrow,"So you heard about everybody going to a movie as well?" She got up from the table and threw her things away, she headed towards the door and gestured for Alaina to follow. "C'mon!"}
