A gentle sigh escaped her slightly parted lips as her eyes took in the scene of, for the most part, harmonious students of Creedence Valley High. She held back the smile that she refused to let show and walked onward, her bag slung over her shoulder. She had a long study hall right now; she didn't really feel like being cooped up in a room she technically didn't need to earn her graduating credits in. She'd much rather be out here in the cool afternoon breeze soaking up the sun.
Scarlett didn't quite feel right, being happy out here in the light afternoon courtyard. She didn't normal act this way, that's for sure. Usually she;d be inside, lurking in the shadows, practically staring down any form of light that passed her way. She was a night person, now usually found in the heat of the sun.
She had to admit though, it was worth it. Not a whole lot of the popular bitches were out right now. It seemed she had a study hall when all the other 'unpopulars' did. Glancing over, she saw two boys a little older than her playing a game of chess, a few more reading books beside them, eagerly stealing glances at the said game. Scarlett let her eyes wander further to a small group of the wanna-bee's, chatting in the far corner of the yard. She noticed them glance at her now and again, hurriedly whispering to their peers. She rolled those mushy brown-hazel eyes and snorted slightly, finding her way to a tree and plopping down against it, finding the cool shade and trunk relaxing.
Her school uniform showed proud, beside the skirt, which was ripped and torn at the hem in several places, a fishnet skirt covering the loose fabric. Her shirt remained in tact as a slightly undone slate tie hung from her neck. Man, those school colors were damned ugly, if she could put in her two cents. Stretching her arms a bit Scarlett tried to relax and untense her muscles. She'd be here another hour or so.
